Program launch day at Ellie Medicine – Bellevue Woman’s Center
Obtelecare is proud to announce the launch of a new teleMFM program at Ellis Medicine’s Bellevue Woman’s Center in Niskayuna, New York—the second Obtelecare program to launch in 2026. The program went live in just 21 days, delivering rapid access to maternal-fetal medicine support for high-risk patients in the Capital Region.
Founded in 1931 as a small maternity home, Bellevue Woman’s Center has grown into a premier, specialized facility and is now the region’s only hospital devoted exclusively to women and children. The center is widely recognized for its comprehensive maternity services and its role in caring for complex maternal and fetal conditions across Albany, Schenectady, and the surrounding communities.
Ellis Medicine – Bellevue Woman’s Center partnered with Obtelecare to address recruiting challenges and ensure stability and continuity for its existing outpatient maternal-fetal medicine clinic. Through its relationship with St. Peter’s Health Partners / Ellis Medical Group, the Ellis team engaged Obtelecare to collaborate on a teleMFM model that could support current patient needs while positioning the program for future growth.
This partnership demonstrates what is possible when teams share a common mission and execute with urgency and precision. Despite the accelerated timeline, all launch milestones were completed with a shared commitment to uninterrupted, high-quality maternal-fetal medicine care.
The program includes four Obtelecare maternal-fetal medicine specialists providing outpatient teleMFM support, working closely with the Ellis Medicine team to maintain continuity of care and expand patient volumes. Together, both organizations aim to grow their high-risk program over time.
Obtelecare looks forward to a strong and collaborative partnership with Ellis Medicine’s Bellevue Woman’s Center and to supporting high-risk patients and care teams throughout New York’s Capital Region.
