Program launch day at Providence Alaska Medical Center

Obtelecare is proud to announce the launch of a new teleMFM program at Providence Alaska Medical Center in Anchorage, Alaska—the inaugural program of 2026! The program will provide 24/7 maternal-fetal medicine support via a team of six Obtelecare clinicians, creating much-needed continuity and stability for high-risk obstetric patients across the state.

Given Alaska’s vast geography, rural communities, and frequently challenging weather conditions, access to specialty maternal-fetal medicine and high-acuity obstetrics care can be difficult. Providence Alaska Medical Center partnered with Obtelecare to address staffing challenges and ensure reliable inpatient MFM coverage through secure, real-time telemedicine and telehealth capabilities.

The largest referral center in Alaska, Providence Alaska Medical Center is home to the state’s only dedicated high-risk perinatal unit. As the region’s leading provider of high-risk obstetrics and neonatal care, this partnership positions the medical center to deliver uninterrupted, around-the-clock perinatal care, regardless of distance or conditions.

This program marks Obtelecare’s first teleMFM launch of 2026, further expanding its national footprint and reinforcing its mission to improve access to maternal-fetal medicine nationwide. Obtelecare looks forward to a strong and impactful partnership with Providence Alaska Medical Center and to positively influencing the lives of women, babies, and care teams throughout Alaska.
